As the forest fires in Uttrakhand continue people are being kept in the dark about the source of the disaster (natural or man made). Also, it is not clear as to why the news was reported 4 days after the fire had spread, consuming more than 1000 hectres of green cover. However, what has happened has happened but we have to ensure that the forest land doesn't fall into the hands of mining sharks. Uttrakhand has a booming limestone (cement) industry.
