Further to my discussion with you, I wish to share with you a recording of my conversation with your official service centre - Trio Mantap Sdn Bhd in the link below:

If you review the conversation, you can see that the SC stated several facts that are CONTRARY to what you shared:
1. SC says not claimable under warranty (even though I’m not claiming, but I merely asked and they said NO without hesitation)
2. Quotation was for RM1,200 and NOT RM585 as you stated. Even with labor charges, it should be more than double the price of the part.
3. SC says its NOT a common issue but our simple survey shows that in fact it is a VERY common issue among Ford Ranger owners. I was actually planning to update my car to the newer Ford Rangers. But after this experience I have lost trust in your service centres to charge a fair price and to provide honest advice with regards to Ford cars.
I hope this feedback helps SDAC to rectify this short coming.
