I prepared comments for the City Council meeting but I will not be attending to keep distance from others, I sent them in an email:
Good morning,
During the meeting last September 10th three City Officials told me that my questions about the land swap had already been answered. This statement is untrue, and it defamed my character. They said that my questions had actually been answered a couple of times. This implies that I am an idiot, or that I am being obstinate and unreasonable.
City Officials may not knowingly make false statements during a City Council meeting. It is one thing for our Parks Dept to do so in an email, but elected officials may not do so. That would constitute an act of corruption.
Two weeks ago the Council deferred to Sam. He provided me with the same vague, incomplete, and untrue response as our Parks Dept. did last summer. I ask members of Council to answer because you are elected public servants and you are held to a higher standard of accountability.
The land swap is a multi million dollar transaction and any discovered flaw has to be disclosed publicly.
Sam told me that Friends of the Peak were also doing work on the Barr trail.
How many work days has Friends of the Peak actually done on the land that is owned by the City in the last two years?
At the meeting at Gold Camp Elementary School on February 24th 2016 Sara Bryarly stated that the Trail has drainage problems, and that the hillside has erosion damage. Since that night I have been asking for the estimated cost of these repairs.
I will ask again. How much has RMFI told the City that the needed drainage study and drainage improvements will cost?
Is the erosion damage on the hillside mild, moderate, or severe? Anyone who hikes the trail can see that there are dozens, if not hundreds of erosion ravines of various sizes on this land.
How much does RMFI say that it will cost to repair the erosion damage?
Has Timberline Landscaping or RMFI ever told the City that it would be best if this section of the Barr Trail is closed permanently because the drainage cannot ever meet modern standards?
During the public comment process, or since has the City or Richard Skorman told people that I am lacking in soundness of mind, or that they had looked into my material and that it was no good? This would constitute collusion, defame my character, and would require remedy today.
