THE LAND SWAP HAS TO BE REVERSED

COS Land Swap
Jun 26, 2018
Good afternoon, Sources tell me that Mr. Damioli of the Broadmoor now admits behind the scenes that the appraisal he submitted for the land swap is no good. At one meeting during the public comment process the City vaguely referred to the repairs needed on that land. I spoke in more detail about those repairs that night. After that night the City removed all mention of the repairs from their presentations. I sent email after email asking about the estimated cost of the repairs, and the City refused to answer. Did the City learn during the public comment process that the appraisal submitted by the Broadmoor was invalid? I also emailed all of my material to Save Cheyenne, they appear to be defending the appraisal submitted by the Broadmoor. Does the Broadmoor want to reverse the land swap, but Save Cheyenne and the City are fighting them? I asked the Mayor and City Council to tell me what the Manitou Incline Task Force was told about the long term stability of the Incline. They had Kurt Schroeder of Parks and Recreation answer. He lied to me. He told me that the Task Force did not explore whether the Incline would be sustainable over the long term. I rejected that false claim and asked that the Mayor or a member of the City Council answer the question honestly. They simply refuse. The Incline remained stable for 85 years until the rails were removed. Was the Task Force told that because the rails have been removed the ties will not remain in place? Last year the City completely rebuilt the upper third of the Incline. We built an unstable structure on federal lands. I do not see how the Forest Service could legally give the City a permit to do that. Sources say that the Forest Service is now telling the City that we have to close the Incline. I sent an email to the City last week asking questions related to the signs the City put up discouraging the public from giving money to panhandlers. I am still waiting for an answer to these questions. What percentage of the money being given to panhandlers was being spent on food? Do some panhandlers suffer from malnutrition? Were these questions considered by the City before the signs were put up? Are some of our panhandlers now eating less
