Petition updateForce Colorado Springs to Repair the Barr Trail

TIME FOR A NEW MAYOR

COS Land Swap
Apr 11, 2018
Here is the content of an email I sent to City officials and the media today: Hello, I demand that the City answer for us in writing these four questions: What is the estimated cost of the needed repairs on the section of the Barr Trail that the City acquired in the land swap? Does an Incline Management Committee exist, and if so tell us who is on this committee, when its meetings are, where one can access the agenda for the meetings, etc.? Is an alternate route down from the Incline feasible, and if so why has the process of approval not been started yet? Does the City's planned Summit House actually qualify for a variance that will allow 1031 people to be in the building at one time? John Suthers may not remain the Mayor of Colorado Springs if he ignores these questions. He is conspiring to do great and lasting harm to both cities and the entire area through the land swap, the Incline and the planned summit house. He is resisting all efforts to force him to cooperate. We should be blessed by the fact that he is a former prosecutor. Instead, he appears to be using the contacts he acquired in that role to facilitate his own corruption. The city may not be a criminal enterprise. If Mayor Suthers will not reverse the land swap, limit or close the Manitou Incline, and call off the city's planned summit house the Mayor must go. Thank you, Carl Strow
