Force Australian Federal Government to Build Affordable and Accessible Public Housing

The issue

The Australian Government is choosing to spend $254 billion dollars for government members to have tax cuts. They are choosing to spend $16 billion dollars in tax concessions for property investors. Yet they are refusing to deal with the rental crisis at hand. Over 50 000 Australians are on the social housing register, many sleeping in cars, couches, or the streets. This number will only increase and the Government is not building affordable and public housing to meet this demand.

It is unacceptable that a country so widely known for its wealth does not have every Australian under a roof. The Government is not being honest and not looking out for the people. We must take action and demand that the Government stop giving itself tax cuts and start homing Australians.
