The history & knowledge from the last 3 decades is important to know when covering the music stemmed from it. The culture of Hip Hop has always been covered from OUR perspective. However, Forbes has someone who not only doesn’t know the origin of Hip Hop but he has NO ear for lyricism, skill, entendres, production, etc. His critiques show his lack of knowledge, and reek in unapprection for the craft. Someone that should be covering Madonna’s greatest hits is voicing his opinion to the MASSES from his sheltered perspective of what he thinks hiphop/rap is and that should end.
