In January 2026, MP Marilyn Gladu stated that Members of Parliament who cross the floor should face their constituents in a by-election, allowing voters to have the final say. We wholeheartedly agree with that principle.

In light of Marilyn Gladu’s decision to cross the floor to the Liberal Party on April 8, 2026, we now call on her to uphold the very standard she advocated for.

We respectfully urge Marilyn Gladu to resign from Parliament immediately. This would enable her to seek re-election as a Liberal candidate in a by-election, thereby giving the voters of her riding the opportunity to express their will on her change in party affiliation.
