The Augusta County Sherrif’s office is the only local police in the SAW area without body and dash cam. This became even more a heightened concern when 2 citizens were involved in a police involved shooting killing one of the citizens last summer.

This petition is not about pointing fingers or going after individuals. It’s about the taxpayers lending their voice to where they stand on this issue. We must understand in Staunton and Waynesboro, Augusta County officers come in our city limits. You go one mile one way you’re in Augusta County from these 2 cities. This is an area issue for SAW, and we must not be oblivious to what’s going on.
