In light of the problems footballers envisage in terms of their tax contribution to support the NHS. I am calling on all football clubs to place their players on furlough like they have with other staff, with a view to treating all their staff equally. Footballers are clearly not essential workers; and to mitigate issues over taxation clubs should make a comparable contribution on behalf of their players.

If it really is about taxation and making fiscal contributions to support the current crisis facing the country I believe the players will/should be supportive of this given that it's their primary concern.
