Require that Neotame be listed in the ingredients label of foods it is in.

The Issue

The FDA does not require Monsanto's new artificial sweetener, Neotame, to be listed on the labels of foods containing it in any way; it also does not requre the warning that is required with aspartame. Monsanto's patent on aspartame is expiring, so they added a toxic chemical (3-dimethylbutyl) to it and renamed it Neotame.

Lack of labeling means that you could be eating this new artificial sweetener without knowing it -- even if you're buying organic foods! This is especially dangerous for those who could have an allergic reaction to the new neotame.

Please demand that the FDA require that Neotame be listed on the labels of all foods containing it and the warning label reinstated as well.
