We, the undersigned, are concerned the Fluvanna Board of Supervisors (BOS) has underfunded Fluvanna County Public Schools this year and have voiced plans to further reduce funding next year and beyond. We insist that our BOS takes a more active role in understanding the needs of public education in Fluvanna. We insist that the BOS actively listens to the priorities of the constituents who elected them. We understand the county faces economic challenges. However, we view Fluvanna’s public education as a top priority which requires greater investment. We insist the BOS makes the necessary investment in education which is required to achieve the county’s education vision – even if it requires raising taxes in the future.
