With Coach Rich Finkelstein as their head coach since his second season in  1987 the Flushing Flyers are a real Queens NY legacy. At the same time, their successes are not the main priority for the team. The Flushing Flyers carry the same values of the YMCA – caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, throughout their program. They accept swimmers of all abilities .Their  goal is to help everyone reach their fullest potential at their own pace, separate from their ability to afford it. The team has swimmers ranging from 8 and under to 15 and over, from first time racers to state record holders or national qualifiers. With keeping kids healthy and engaged as a first priority, the flyers can pride themselves on many years of swimming successes as swimmers have gone on to graduate from Division I to Division III colleges. Please help us not let a real Queens legacy die!
