Our 5th grade exhibition group has started this petition to encourage our Florida Senators to allocate more money from the budget to buy land and use it for nature preserves. Florida is developing land very fast and it is reducing or destroying many native animal habitats. This is causing animals to live to close to people. The animals are often killed because of the interaction. Communities need to be responsible for caring for the environment that they develop. Please sign our petition to send a message to the Florida Senate that we want more taxes used to buy land that cannot be developed and turn them into nature preserves.
