Rent prices have gone up exponentially in the last 1-2 years in Florida. Native Floridians ready to leave the nest are now stuck at home, unable to pay these new rates. There is no such thing as low income housing anymore. Where are these people to go that don't make enough money to afford a place of their own? They are hard pressed to be homeless or share their space with a stranger or roommate just to have a roof over their heads. Florida has always had affordable housing in comparison to most other states, but not anymore. They are pushing out the locals. Rent has increased $400 more than what we have been paying. How is it legal to increase rent 30% or more in just one calendar year? There should a law in effect that doesn't allow more than 5 or 10% increase annually.  Sign this petition to stop renters from price gouging in Florida.
