Right now , there is a data center boom in this country! When the data centers  come into town it increases the people in the community's electric and water bills. They get tax breaks and abatements from the city , and they pay less for the water than the actual humans who need it. Data centers call massive amounts of water to cool the system which gets extremely  hot. They have anticorrosive anti scaling and other chemicals running through the metal parts. When it leaks into the ground , it  contaminates aquafers. Look at the low levels of water everywhere and where these data centers are located. Not to mention we're under a drought. It is also absolutely devastating for the environment. I know Ron Desantis said we won't have to subsidize the cost but read the language behind it. If the company finds it feasible. If not that means we pay. We all know the public service commission rubber stamps every rate request that comes across their desk. Never once ruling for the public. I BEG YOU TO LOOK AT WHAT'S HAPPENING ALL ACROSS THIS COUNTRY WITH THE DATA CENTERS. If you are in a Escambia County there is a petition Escambia County Residents Say No to Data Centers. Please sign it. Many people do not know they're even looking at Escambia County! Main investors in f p l are main investors in a lot of the data centers. If you are not in Escambia County and they are trying to build a data center in your community make sure you all have a petition you are sharing. Create a Facebook group with the same title. I have one, Escambia county residents say no to data centers. Show up at your city council's and county commissioners. We must save the water for living things as it was intended. If we feed it all to machines , we are in trouble.
