Even though my salon is closed to comply with government requirements, there is still an overwhelming demand for my manicures and pedicures. I do not do nail art or designs and I already comply with strict guidelines from the Department of Health and will add other sensible safety precautions. I am advocating for nail salons to stay open to provide services for health reasons. The health and integrity of hands, feet and nails are essential. We must work together to keep our economy alive without unreasonable restrictions but with safety first. Soft opening of services can be implimented before full services. We should at least be able to attend to such issues as ingrown nails, fungus, overgrown nails, calluses and build up of bacteria and viruses. Many people are unable to attend to these issues themselves. Let's call for action by supporting this petition.
