This petition is to show the FLDOE the upset feelings of teachers who are required to take the certification tests. Noticing trends, many teachers are having to take these tests not 2 times, not 3 or 4 but up to 8-10 times before passing! Tests that should not be hard. Teachers with high effective ratings, Ph.D’s, masters degrees, and the ability to run an efficient classroom BUT are asked to take these certification tests and spend hundreds of dollars taking them multiple times. But to get a fail every time, making them feel that they are being used for money by the FLDOE. 

CHANGE NEEDS TO HAPPEN. These tests are too complicated, too extreme, and are made to cause the test taker to be confused. The tests questions are worded to cause failure. Not to mention the Pearson testing centers who have been known to bother teachers while they are testing, interfering with their focus. 

The FLDOE also make teachers wait ONE MONTH to test again so people can not memorize questions to force them to have to test again with ANOTHER failure. 

The tests are too complicated, are made to set teachers up to fail, and used so the FLDOE can get more money out of HIGHLY EFFECTIVE TEACHERS who serve this state well.
