Transgender students at Florence high school in Florence, MS, are not allowed to use the bathroom that coordinates to their gender. While their is a gender neutral bathroom in the office, students have to ask permission and get questioned longer than it would take them to use the bathroom in the first place. 

Educators and staff also are able to decide if they want to call a transgender student by their correct name or not, often choosing not, making even more problems for the student. 

Students at this school are bullied and harassed by other students due to their gender identity which can make their mental health decline already, but adding on top of it the transphobia from the staff makes everything worse.
