DeLand's skatepark has been in need of serious repairs for a significant amount of time. 
Going on 10 years, the skatepark is littered with cracks and abrasive concrete, lacking lights and park flow. 
The city of DeLand has refused to assist the locals and make necessary improvements and that needs to change now. If we obtain an improved skatepark, it will bring in tourists, revenue, and create a safe environment for skateboarders to practice their sport and art. Skateboarding is a positive pass-time for kids, as well as adults. Keeping both in shape while having fun and creating a strong bond between those who share the passion, which in turn brings the community together overall.
