The residents of Ticknock Hill, Sandyford and Blackrock have to rely on bus route 114 operated by Go-Ahead Ireland. For a while now this bus route has been plagued by an hourly service and buses towards Blackrock from Ticknock end at 20:30. 

This really is no longer acceptable for a bus route operating in a capital city. Occasionally the 06:40 service is so packed passengers are left waiting for an hour for the next one and being late to work or school as a result. 

Dublin’s population is growing faster than ever before with more people seeking housing and work on the outskirts. There should be a bus operating every 30 minutes in both direction from at least 7am to midnight. If this bus keeps its hourly service with only one extra service in the morning which is usually cancelled, it will be almost impossible to commute through Sandyford from Ticknock or Blackrock.
