Several lakes in the Terramar area of Parkland, FL have been very low and unsightly for several months out of the year for way too many years.

The water quality of east Parkland would be drastically improved if the lake levels were adequate (according to the Pinetree Water District’s engineering consultant).  This issue is harming our environment in terms of water quality and excess use of weed killer to control weeds along the barren banks.  Additionally, they are extremely unsightly.  This can be changed.

Recently, a test was completed on the weir (a structure that allows water to flow in and out of our lakes) and it revealed that it was not originally designed to hold the appropriate amount of water in our area.  

It is the responsibility of the Terramar Master Association, managed by Cindy Whittle, Intergrity Property Management, to properly maintain our lakes.  

Allstate Resource Management, a wetland management company) is currently working on a proposal to re-design the weir that controls water levels in our lakes.  They will be submitting it to Cindy Whittle. 

Please advocate for the re-design and implementation of a new weir by signing this petition.   

Please share this petition with others in neighboring communities, including Ternbridge, Mayfair, Mill Pond, Lakes of Parkland, Parkwood, and any others in the Terramar area, as they all fall under the master association and all have the same issue in their neighborhoods.
