On Thursday, September 1, 2022 LIU-Post informed its Esports program members through the “Discord” messaging platform that they will be putting an end to any and all Esports related activities as a result of their inability to hire a replacement Director for the Fall Semester. As a result, student athletes, as well as those pursuing a Bachelors in Digital Game Design, will be without access to a crucial facility. With a semester’s  tuition now costing upwards of $30,000, students deserve to have access to what is arguably a crucial part of their chosen program, and the biggest selling point of attending this university to begin with. 

Please sign this petition to show the LIU Athletics Department and the LIU Administration that unless a significant reduction in tuition is granted, that its students should be able to make use of the center designed to drive them to succeed in the Esports field, and also the Game Design Industry.
