The current state of East Second Street running from Jamestown to Falconer is deplorable and needs to be corrected. This road is in an atrocious condition and needs to be repaved. Everyone forced to drive this stretch of road everyday is painfully aware that you have to dodge 5,000 potholes to save your vehicle from damage.

I remember seeing the city fill the holes in earlier in the year and it didn’t do much of anything except leave further crevices and debris all over the road way. We hear the same tired story every year this road falls into disrepair that it isn’t the city’s responsibility or jurisdiction. Regardless of what reason it may be, this a chronic and significant safety issue that reappears every winter. It needs to be addressed in some way.
