Unfortunately, ACA 9 is still pending referral to committee so not much has changed. Right now, the best thing you can do is continue to call your legislative representatives and ask that they act on Prop. 19 and ACA 9 and encourage others to do so as well. It also wouldn't hurt to have folks call the Assembly Rules Committee (they are the ones that send bills to committee) and ask why ACA 9 isn't moving. After that, if we exhaust our legislative options, HJTA is very likely to begin the ballot initiative process.
