We’re working hard to Reinstate Proposition 58, the 1986 constitutional amendment that allowed parents to transfer a home and other property to their children without reassessment, and without a change to the property tax bill.

Prop. 19 repealed Prop. 58, and now property is reassessed to market value when transferred from parents to children, with only limited exceptions.
