Finals are now being possibly exempt through the method of improvement of NWEA. This discourages students to even maintain their grades, considering the past couple of years have consisted of exemptions regarding your actual grade in the class. This new method of exemption is favored towards the under achieving students, and unfair to the people who actually tried on their original NWEA. Students who bombed the NWEA intentionally, will have a higher chance of being exempt from the NWEA than students who actually tried.
