Below you will find an email that I received from Mayor Fadness this morning. The contents of the email are very encouraging news. Make no mistake though, we still need to follow this item very closely. Until iTown has found a more suitable location for their large organization and plans for growth, we need to stay alert and engaged.
In addition, as Gray Eagle golf course and driving range has been around for decades, we need to continue to work with the city to establish a strategic plan that allows the course and driving range to remain as green space for many decades to come.
I want to thank you for your continued support and attention to this matter. I will continue to post updates as more information is available to share. Stay engaged.
LETTER FROM THE MAYOR
From: Mayor Fadness
Date: Fri, Jun 16, 2017 at 10:30 AM
Subject: Update: Gray Eagle Driving Range/i-Town zoning request
Dear Mr. Forbes,
Thank you again for your interest and time on the Gray Eagle Driving Range/i-Town zoning request. We wanted to let you know that this morning i-Town, the petitioner, requested a continuance. That means the matter will not be heard on 2nd Reading at City Council on Monday. Staff is updating the agenda now. Another date for 2nd Reading has not yet been discussed. In the meantime, we will continue to work with all stakeholders to address concerns raised.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out or contact our Director of Planning Tony Bagato at bagatoa@fishers.in.us.
Sincerely,
Mayor Fadness
