We have gone far beyond what we initially expected this Coronavirus epidemic to be. School bus drivers from First Student in Medford Oregon, are being forced to take 20 hours of pay per week. As of this present time there have been many drivers that are struggling to make ends meet. This puts us at a disadvantage, in providing for our families.We cannot apply for unemployment benefits because of the 20 hours being paid to drivers. First Student will not give us our pay that we we’re receiving before the epidemic started. 

We are demanding full pay for what we we’re earning before COVID-19 or to be furloughed so that we can take advantage of the CARES ACT.

Full Pay

We are seeking full pay, with the 20hours First Student provides, isn’t enough to pay our bills and live.

Furlough

We are seeking to be furloughed to take advantage of the CARES ACT and unemployment benefits. With drivers receiving only 20 hours of pay per week this makes us ineligible to receive unemployment benefits, that we would normally receive during the summer months when school is no longer in session.

Please sign the petition to show unity towards our efforts to be heard by First Student and Medford School District. We need to get this resolved ASAP, our United voice shall not go into the night without a fight.
