It has been announced today that from April 2016 (next month) that First Greater Manchester has decided to withdraw all night buses, the number 8 and number 36, from service. This means that there will now be no way for Bolton residents to get home after the last regular service bus (currently 11:55pm) other than to order a taxi. This is simply unacceptable, unsafe, and unaffordable for Bolton residents and also means it will stop visitors from the Manchester area staying out late in Bolton thus hurting our local economy also.
