Andrew Witty is dangerously out of touch with the American people. His callous leaked statement (Fox Business) on public and media relations regarding "unsafe" and "unnecessary" treatment following the death of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson caused outrage with the wider public and among United Healthgroup shareholders. Witty's actions have caused shares in United HealthGroup to drop by 11% (Forbes). Witty is unfit to remain in his current office.

Corporations are responsible for the actions (and inactions) of their employees, even more so when that employee is in a public-facing leadership position. Andrew Witty should be removed from his post as CEO by United Healthgroup shareholders and their board of directors. He should be replaced by leadership who will direct the company from a place of integrity, compassion, relationships, and inclusion consistent with United Healthgroup's stated mission and values (United Healthgroup).
