Fire Superintendent Eminhizer NOW!!!

Fire Superintendent Eminhizer NOW!!!

The Issue

Board of Education:

Rachel Robles, Sue Maulucci, Maria Caceres, Maria Cruz & Simon Wright

We, the parents/guardians of Covina Valley students and community members of Covina, demand Eminhizer's dismissal as superintendent effective immediately!

Ever since the board appointed her into power under the cover of scandal and a global pandemic, things have taken a dark and contentious turn in our district.  You brought her in; we demand you get her out!

Being a family, employee, student and/or community member under her leadership has been nothing short of a traumatic experience.  The unnecessary tension, stress, anguish and anxiety she has caused and unapologetically being the source of mental, physical, and emotional strain on students, employees, and families proves that she thrives on chaos and negativity, which are antithetical to what it means to be an effective and compassionate leader.  Covina deserves and demands better!

Eminhizer misuses authority and uses intimidation and threats to serve only HER needs while at the same time creating an illusion that she is the victim who needs protection from police and security from a community that simply was pleading to be heard.  She has proven to be remorseless and unapologetic for the environment of confusion and fear she created for our children and making them feel unsafe. This is NOT a leader.  Covina Valley families, employees, and students are FED UP and refuse to be led by a superintendent whose reputation can only be summed up as one of relentless, petty retaliation!  Her ruthless attack on Covina Valley education almost forced teachers to strike!  Eminhizer's ego fueled campaign against teachers, students, families, and the entire community went too far!

Her destructive reign will forever be a stain on the CVUSD timeline.  A stain you, the board, appointed.

What we, the community, are looking for is accountability.  Despite our countless calls, letters, texts, and pleas at board meetings, why did the board not intervene sooner?  How did you allow things to get so far and so dark?

Anything less than a request for her resignation would be complicitness on the board's part.  A complicit board is beneath the standard of excellence promised by CVUSD and worthy of a recall campaign.

"The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don't have any." Thanks to the turmoil and distress Emihizer put us through, our community found its power -- it is our VOICE, our VOTE, our UNITY, and above all, our overwhelming LOVE for our children.  Fueled by this power, Covina families will not stop advocating for our children and fighting for what they deserve. Gone are the days when we took for granted that leadership was taking care of us, our children, our teachers, and education.  As you have seen, we are ready and will take action.

Board, even though you inexplicably renewed Eminhizer’s contract, the Covina Valley community CANNOT move forward to heal and rebuild under her direction.  Covina families and community members demand that she accept the consequences of her actions and be dismissed as superintendent immediately!
