I am deeply affected and appalled by the actions of Constantinos S. Kyriakis, an academician at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. His frequent racist remarks and calls for genocide against certain ethnicities on social media platforms are not only offensive but also dangerous. It is alarming that such behavior has been met with minimal consequences from the university administration, with no significant salary decrease or termination.

Racism in academia is a pervasive issue that needs to be addressed urgently. According to a study conducted by the National Bureau of Economic Research, racial bias in education significantly affects students' performance and overall well-being (NBER, 2019). Yet, despite this knowledge, Auburn University has failed to take substantial action against Kyriakis's blatant racism. Some of his racist remarks can be considered as call for genocide such as "Let's expel all Turks from Anatolia" supported with countless racist posts and hate remarks like "Go back to the steps of Mongolia" 

Not only racist remarks but also he often make homophobic, anti-women and anti-jewish remarks.

I and the countless of other students of certain ethnicities at the University, are deeply offended by this racist so-called academician. 

It's time for Auburn University to hold its staff accountable for their actions and ensure they uphold the values of respect and equality. We urge them to take immediate disciplinary action against Constantinos S. Kyriakis  and fire him for his racist remarks.
