I am a 24 year old Cowboys fan, and frankly, didn’t really have a choice in the matter. Grew up my entire life watching the Dallas Cowboys with my dad, hearing about the dynasty of Dallas under Tom Landry, and then again with Jimmy Johnson. 5 time Super Bowl Champions. I was born in 1998, and all I have known is pain and disappointment. A playoff bobble by Tony, a first round exit in 2007, 3 back to back to back 8-8 seasons(2011-2013) losing all 3 “win or go home”games, the last game of the season… against division rivals. The Dez catch debacle, Aaron Rodgers ruining our lives, CJ Anderson running all over us, Dak’s injury.

And we arrive to this year, 2021. Where disappointment and pain grip our heats yet again. I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS!!!! I watched Jerry allow Jason Garrett to waste Tony Room’s career, and the beginning of Dak Prescott’s. We must not stand for this mediocrity any longer. Mike McCarthy must go. This is the most talented Cowboys team I have seen. We lead the league in takeaways on defense, and were flying around all season, our offense hit snags in the road, but with the multitude of explosive weapons we possessed I admit I was not worried. 

And yet… Mike McCarthy prepared this team for, quite possibly, the worst playoff showing I have ever seen. It was deplorable, worse than any showing under Garrett. The refs were not helping us out at all, but we showed up and played a sloppy, undisciplined, and flat football game. We had no fight, no desire, and no drive. Terrible clock management, and situational awareness, which has been a consistent theme with Mike McCarthy all season. It is absurd that we should have to suffer another year of this, because we all know what the result will be. We will continue to be a mediocre franchise under Mike McCarthy. 

Mr. Jerry Jones, I now speak directly to you. If you have any respect for the fans of the Dallas Cowboys you will fire Mike McCarthy. The culture you have allowed to fester in Dallas has gone on long enough. We are mediocre, and we shouldn’t be. You have put together an astounding roster, that shouldn’t be hindered by a blundering fool. I beg you to end this cycle, fire Mike McCarthy, and hire someone who has the capability to win in the NFL today. Innovative schemes, a smart knowledge of the game, and a players coach. I would prefer Tony Romo or Eric Bieniemy, but that’s not what this is for.
