Fire McDermott

Fire McDermott

The Issue

It's time. I've seen enough. Since the 13-second heartbreak in KC, we continue to relive the same nightmare. Clock/timeout mismanagement, conservative play-calling, soft coverage and prevent defense have single-handedly lost Buffalo games; McDermott has single-handedly lost Buffalo games, championships, and undoubtedly a Super Bowl.

Listen, I'm not here to character assassinate or discredit the man for coming in and making positive changes. I think we can all agree that Sean McDermott is one of the good ones and I'm grateful for the progress he, Beane, and the Pegulas initiated - but this is a business and Sean McDermott is not the answer.

I've done my due diligence with McDermott. I left room for nuance. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I BILLieved - and he has repeatedly proven that he is incapable of winning close games; the games that matter most at crucial times during the season. For a coach that preaches week in and week out about complimentary football and fundamentals - those seem to be the components most consistently absent when the game is on the line.

I can't watch another year go by where we're not giving prime Josh Allen the best possible opportunity to win it all. The players deserve better - the organization deserves better - Bills Mafia deserves better.
