In 2018, DOOM composer Mick Gordon was contracted by id Software to develop the new music for DOOM Eternal. They gave him short timelines to complete music, despite the fact that he had nothing to go off of. Most of the game was unfinished. As time went on, Mick addressed these concerns in emails to Marty Stratton and id Software, however his concerns were dismissed and viewed as a sign of incompetence. For the next 2 years, Mick would undergo a series of corporate abuses such as: refusal to pay for 11 months, lawyers threatening legal action and his family being put in the firing line of danger. Marty Stratton released a public statement on Reddit, about how the downfall of DOOM Eternals music was entirely Mick Gordons fault. In November 2022, Mick released a lengthy public statement complete with bullet points, screen shots and witness accounts that would help speak the truth, claiming that id Software ignored his concerns, refused to pay him, and used more than double the contracted time of music for the game. Since then id Software and Bethesda have denied his claims, however offer no evidence to back theirs up. This petition is to get Mick the justice he deserves, as he is a master at his craft, and restitution for the damage done to him and his family.

The demands of this petition are simple:

1. id Software must fire Marty Stratton
2. id Software must pay Mick Gordon the FULL amount owed for total music used in DOOM Eternal
3. Bethesda and id Software will issue a public apology

Spread this around. Get Mick the restitution and justice he deserves. Let the artist be an artist, and not a corporate slave. There is no DOOM without Mick.
