The Issue

Mark Stoops has had over a decade at Kentucky, and the program is stuck in mediocrity. He can’t win big games, constantly folds against Tennessee and Georgia, and lets Louisville embarrass him. His QB development is awful, his offenses are predictable, and his in-game coaching is cowardly. Stoops plays not to lose, and it shows. Kentucky deserves better than seven wins and Music City Bowls. He raised the floor, but he’ll never raise the ceiling—fire him now.

The University of Kentucky has a proud tradition and deeply passionate fans who have high expectations for the Wildcats. However, for over ten years under Coach Mark Stoops, the football program has been languishing without significant progress or championship success. In close to 130 games, time and again, the Wildcats have fallen short in decisive moments and crucial matchups. His record against premier teams like Tennessee and Georgia is dismal, and his overall win-loss ratio leaves much to be desired.

Beyond the records and scores, the development of our players is at stake. A critical component of any successful football program is the ability to nurture and advance talent, especially the crucial quarterback position. Sadly, under Stoops's tenure, player growth has stalled. Numerous recruits show promise, but by the end of their college careers, they have not reached their potential. The offensive strategies seem outdated and ineffective, leaving opponents able to predict our every move.

In an era of college football where innovation and adaptability are key to success, Mark Stoops's conservative, "play-not-to-lose" approach is preventing Kentucky from rising to the level it deserves. Other schools are progressing, bringing in new ideas and tactical methodologies. It is time for Kentucky to make a bold move to elevate its program to national prominence.

While we appreciate the efforts Mark Stoops has made, it is evident that a change is necessary. To truly compete on a national level, Kentucky needs a coach with fresh strategies, the ability to win crucial games, and a commitment to developing players to their utmost potential. We need someone who can build upon the foundation Stoops has laid and take us above and beyond.

Join us in calling on the University of Kentucky to make a decisive change for the future of our football program. Sign this petition to advocate for the firing of Mark Stoops and to usher in a new era of commitment to excellence and achievement for the Wildcats.
