Fire Dylan Jadeja, boycott Riot Games
The Issue
Riot Games as a company has long taken advantage of its players with predatory systems and practices that benefit the company significantly more than the player, both in isolation and relative to the rest of the gaming industry. League of Legends, VALORANT, and other games are beloved by many of their players for values that are nowadays lost in the pursuit of profit and "checking all the boxes".
Since Dylan Jadeja's introduction as CEO of Riot Games, the quality of work has significantly decreased already more than it already was. He has exacerbated an internal, deep rooted issue that lies at the fault of the founders who abandoned their company to be used like an addictive drug that only asks you to consume it more and spend more money, with deminishing returns every time you do so due to their lack of empathy and care for the player.
This is frankly, beyond pathetic, and I will no longer consciously support Riot Games in any way shape or form until the following demands are met:
- Dylan Jadeja resigns or is removed from his position as CEO of Riot Games, and is no longer welcome at the company.
- The entire hierarchy of Riot Games is audited and an investigation is launched into what exactly is going on at the company and why so many bad decisions are being made consecutively in such a short period of time.
- The new CEO of Riot Games, along with Brandon and Marc (founders of Riot Games), issue a public apology acknowledging these facts and showcasing a new plan which puts the players and developers first in the order of priority.
If nothing is done about this now, iconic IPs such as League of Legends and VALORANT will become soulless products aimed to milk money out of their user.
We must act now and actively boycott this company while continuing to ask for Jadeja's resignation, or risk reaching a point of no return.
