Dog Park In Rush

Dog Park In Rush
The Issue
My name is David "Cloaky" Cloak and I'm the proud owner of #CloakDog and I've teamed up with Cafe Verde (#shoplocal) and together we have decided to create a Petition for a Dog Park in Rush. We also have a paper version in the Cafe on the main st. so if you would prefer to sign in person pls feel free to do so.

PETITION - DOG PARK IN RUSH
Dogs that are highly socialised and exercised are healthier, happier, and less aggressive in behaviour. They are less likely to bark or be destructive or aggressive if they are able to expend pent-up energy during regular play or exercise.
A dog park would give dog owning members of our community somewhere to properly exercise and play with their dogs and also a chance to socialise with other dogs which is absolutely crucial for a dogs mental and emotional development.
There is currently a huge lack of space for dog owners to be able to let their dogs run off lead in public parks. There is a great lack of understanding for the necessity for a dog to be able to exercise properly off lead and recently there was a new by law introduced forcing dog owners to keep their dogs on leash at the people's park. A dog park would give dog owning members of our community somewhere to properly exercise and play with their dogs. Well stimulated dogs tend to be much better behaved and this would mean much less rehoming of dogs and dogs surrendered to shelters. Responsible dog owners would respect the dog parks rules and I am sure all members of the community would welcome the move to providing a large secure dog park, and allowing the towns parks to be free for the rest of the public. In St Annes there is a great dog park which is very successful, surely Rush could initiate a plan to get something like this set up and running.
We will email this petition to some local councillors and FCC in the hope that dog owners views will be heard and we will have a safe and secure area to play with our dogs.
