Our African-American youth to our seniors are living in a Pandemic of CHICAGO Violence. Violence is being committed by black people against our own people. Does Black Lives Matter only if violence is inflicted by police or white supremacist? No! Black Lives Matter even when blacks are killing blacks. When we turn on the Chicago News blacks killing each other are the top stories. We have to solve our own problems.

We lived through 400 years of slavery and we had to fight for our survival and freedom. Now we have to come together and create a plan to attack the brutality of black genocide that we inflict on ourselves. I don’t have a solution but I challenge The National Pan-Hellenic Council to impact our CHICAGO Communities by creating solutions, programs and initiatives to stop the black on black violence in CHICAGO. The NPHC can pressure our legislators to no longer ignore the killings of our innocent black children and bystanders.

The National Pan-Hellenic Council is a collaborative umbrella council composed of historically African American fraternities and sororities. There are approximately 1.5 million members of African American fraternities and sororities. Its members consist of powerful people from diverse backgrounds and many connections across the world. One of the many goals of the council is to serve our communities.  NPHC….WE NEED YOU!
