The signatures to the petition has reached 843 now. Now I would like to deliberate upon the step motherly treatment given to bank pensioners by the Central govt . Pension updation is given to the central and state pensioners once in 10 ten years as per pay commission recomendation. The cost is borne by budgetary allocations by both state and central govts.there is no profitability option. However when it comes to bank pensioners it is linked to profitability of banks.I would like to add here that pension bank pensioners  is paid from the pension fund created for the purpose as pension act and contributed by the bank pensioners by themselves during their active service. The pension fund as of date it is learnt is around 250000 crores.The interest accrued on this fund is suffecient to cover pension /updation /family pension payments.When such is the case why bank pensioners are denied pension updation and treated as second class citizens of India.I appeal to all bank pensioners to support their pension updation demand by signing this petition online.
