The signatories to the petition has reached 794 as of now. The timing of the petition is the change of guard at the Finance Ministry in the new cabinet of Sri Modhiji. Madam Nirmala Seetharaman has taken over the reins of the Finance Ministry and she is a very practical person and I am hopefull that when she will see our petition she wiil look into our (genuine and legitimate )demands in terms of Pension regulation Act. In our case no budget allocation is required for considering the demands as in the case of central govt pensioners where the additional pension is paid as per the central pay commission . In our case the pension is paid from the pension fund created for the purpose. The pension fund is contributed by the bank pensioners themselves during their active service. I understand that the balance is over 250000crore and its interest itself is more than suffecient to cover regular pension, family pension and pension updation also. when such is the position why Indian Banks Association is blocking the the demands. We are like Govt pesioners and why a second class treatment to bank pensioners ? To show our unity and strength I call upon all bank pensioners who has not signed so far to sign the petition online immediately and if the support is substantial the Govt will understand our problem and consider rights as per pension regulation act consider the petition . So kindly sign the petition immediately. With regards.M.kamalaksha Kini
