Bullying is a distinctive pattern of repeated and deliberately harming and humiliating others specifically those who are smaller, weaker, younger or in any way more vulnerable than the bully. The deliberate targeting of those of lesser power is what distinguishes bullying from garden variety aggression. Bullying is also physical or verbal aggression that is repeated over a period and, in contrast to meanness, involves an imbalance power. It is also one of the most common, pervasive and major problems we’re encountering especially in schools.
At least 6 in 10 Filipino students are being bullied regularly, a recent study showed, noting that the prevalence of bullying in Philippine schools is nearly 3 times higher compared to developed countries. Some 65 percent of 7,233 15-year-old Filipino students "reported being bullied at least a few times a month," according to the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2018 survey published by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). People who suffered from bullying experienced a lot of difficulties, they can’t even experience tranquility and freedom and people being bullied might cause negative impact on their lives that leads them to a world that full of chaos and darkness. They might experience:
- changes in sleep and eating patterns
- loss of interest in activities they used to enjoy
- increased feelings of sadness and loneliness

- and the worst may happen, it can lead to suicidal thoughts then suicide.
