Women around the world experience "period poverty" because women cannot afford these basic necessities. Not only that but there is a lack of access to these feminine products. 

"Results revealed the average woman surveyed spends $13.25 a month on menstrual products- that's $6,360 in average woman's reproductive lifetime (ages 12-52)." Think of where all that money could be more useful, women said they would take a vacation, put it towards retirement, or become a homeowner. 

This problem could be fixed by lower the price of period products or giving women and girls more free access to them when there is an emergency. Women have on average of two emergency leaks per cycle without access to period products. The top most voted place to have free period products readily available is in middle school, high school, and university. Not only that but they need to be donated to homeless shelters and food banks. The biggest solution that should be considered is having the companies that make the products to all of these places. 

With all of these issues due to the price of period products there needs to be more solutions put into place. The first one being to lower the prices of period products and the second having free period products readily available in every bathroom.
