The crime rate in Dawesville and surrounding areas has been quickly increasing as the areas become more populated.

Most recently there have been several incidents involving animal cruelty that has gained media attention. I am using these incidents as well as the increase in hooning, break-ins, theft, and damage to property as fuel to fight for a local police station.

I have recently spoken to the police in Mandurah about the violence against kangaroos. During this conversation, I was told that Police can only attend incidents if they receive a call during the act - and oftentimes it takes 20-30 minutes to reach the location. At this time the perpetrators are gone and nothing can be done.

This is simply not safe. If someone in Falcon, Dawesville, or other surrounding suburbs is in an immediate, life-threatening situation - 30 minutes could easily swing momentum to the wrong side of that 50/50 chance.

The population in these areas is rapidly increasing, its simply becoming a necessity. The people need support, they are beginning to feel unsafe in their own homes. We need action.
