Fight against injustice towards rightful candidates of 1st SLST,2016 in WBSSC
The Issue
I'm making this petition on behalf of 19,000 eligible teachers of 1st SLST,2016 in WBBSE who are currently serving thousands of schools in West Bengal whose appointments have been unlawfully cancelled by a judgement passed by High Court of West Bengal on 22/04/24.
West Bengal is a state where there is scarce opportunity for educated youth to work.They either migrate to other states or countries in search of livelihood.The situation is more disheartening for the uneducated.Government is only interested in making money out of corruption and illegal means.
First time the West Bengal School Service Commission conducted SLST in the year 2016.After 2016 not a single recruitment procedure was conducted.
To aggravate this a scam had taken place in the recruitment process.The then Education minister was caught with money collected from bribe.
When the appointment procedure was being conducted more than 20 lakh educated and trained candidates appeared for the exam , written exam , personality test and verification of documents were done before empanelment of eligible candidates.
On this basis 19,000 teachers were given appointment in the year 2019-20 subsequently in phases.
They have been serving thousands of schools in West Bengal since then.Serving during covid as covid warriors without any medical benefits.
Most of the teachers were posted far away from their houses and they have been sincerely dispensing their duties.
However according to court the recruitment procedure had loopholes hence it passed an inhuman judgement of cancellation of the entire panel.
We strongly condemn this decision of high court and wish to put forward these points in favour of rightful candidates.
1.There are 19,000 candidates whose future is at stake some of them have even crossed their age limit to appear for any other exam.
2.Families and dependents of these candidates are also going to suffer due to this decision.
3.The decision taken by the honourable HC has directly impacted on the PAY PROTECTION of eligible candidates which is against constitution right.
4.Instead of taking action against the actual culprits innocent people are being tormented emotionally and financially.
They have become scapegoats of political vengeance.....a major corruption scam
We sincerely plead everyone to raise their voice against these inhuman and vague judgement for the sake of our future stakeholders i.e. millions of students and teachers of government schools.
