Even after my divorce, my abusive husband still has control over me.

Two and a half years ago I divorced my abusive and controlling husband. As part of our divorce procedures the court issued a decree ordering a division of assets. Part of that division was the equal splitting of my ex-husband’s pension and 401K. Fidelity, the company managing his funds, refuses to do so without my husband’s signature but he refuses to sign. Instead of pointing me to a law that requires his signature, they've only said it is their "company policy." This is unfair, they are allowing my ex to once again take control of my life.

My name is Misti Love and for 2.5 years I have been trying to get what the court has declared is rightfully mine. I finally had the courage to get a divorce, but I am still subjected to my ex’s whims because he knows Fidelity won’t release my funds without his signature.
