FEU-Alabang to end classes now!

FEU-Alabang to end classes now!
The Issue
The COVID-19 pandemic, as of the composition of this petition on the 11th of April 2020, has reached a number of 1,721,353 confirmed cases worldwide, with the number of confirmed cases in the Philippines amounting to 4,428 affected people, and among them are 247 deaths and 157 recoveries. In response to this medical crisis, the Republic of the Philippines has announced on the 15th of March, 2020 that an enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) shall be implemented in the country, encompassing the participation of the whole Luzon island.
The President of Far Eastern University himself has also responded to this pandemic by establishing the suspension of online classes, although continuing with online learning activities throughout the period of the ECQ.
While FEU-Alabang has charitably offered its basketball court to the nearby Research Institute for Tropical Medicine to aid the diminishing space of its facilities due to the growing number of occupants, who are patients affected by COVID-19, FEU Alabang has also, through the Canvas Online Learning System, continuously uploaded worksheets and modules with the implementation of deadlines for these requirements needed to pass the curriculum.
We are imploring the administration of FEU-Alabang to consider that there are valid reasons as to why students will not be able to comply to the standards of the school during a pressing, global emergency. Some students, who have returned to their respective hometowns, will not be able to access the resources needed to complete such tasks, such as a stable internet connection, gadgets, among other materials. Some will not have the time to deal with their scholarly obligations due to a conflict in schedule as they are tending to home responsibilities as well. There is also a significant rise in stress levels among the students due to health and safety concerns in the midst of this issue, and we believe that a large portion of our students are not able to dispense quality outputs and works through these means due to the staggeringly different environment in employing an all-over Online Learning System that has made it difficult for the students to retain information and apply it to the works that these respective courses require.
In short, the levels of accessibility of our students to the institution's provided means of education are too diverse to produce fair, justifiable, and equal results for everyone enrolled in your programs.
With these reasonings, the consignees of the petition would like FEU Alabang to consider the following solutions:
-The suspension of all forms of academic activities including pending tasks given during the period of the ECQ.
-Grades shall only be computed from outputs done before the 15th of March 2020 with all students being eligible to pass.
-The early conclusion of the current semester, while uploading optional and ungraded modules to compensate for the missed lectures.
-A partial reimbursement of the tuition fees in consideration for the non-utilization of FEU-Alabang's facilities during the pandemic.
The consignees of this petition understand the importance of the quest for knowledge and learning within the FEU Alabang institution, but we believe that the best course of action is for these solutions to be implemented so that the students can continue onward learning in their lives without the expense of their health and safety during these trying times.
The time you have spent reading this is very much appreciated and we hope for your positive response to this matter.
