My daughter has been sent hours away from home to a low secure mental health unit. The reality is that there are no female units local to Bridgend. Family's of patients who suffer with mental health have to travel miles away to visit there loved ones and the impact this has on patients and Family's are heartbreaking. I would like to see a change because if your a male who suffers with mental health then there is plenty of inpatient units around! It's a shame female's have nothing.
