Most of the women's Hostel has a general curfew of around 6:30pm, which limits them from participating in almost all College activities which are mostly held after 6pm. This also effects women from enjoying the little things such as lovely evening or a beautiful sunset.

For female college students who are involved in sports activities are limited from practice time and playing in several matches because of the short curfew. A standard curfew should be set which is atleast a minimum of 7:30pm and a maximum of 8:30pm. 

An order that was issued on April 7 by Dr Usha Titus, Higher Education Secretary to the Government of Kerala, stated that the curfew will be extended till 9.30 pm in all colleges so that women hostellers can "utilise labs and libraries just like men do". This should be set for all women's Hostels because, most students from colleges that doesn't have a ladies hostel stay in working women's Hostels, where the curfew is limited to 6:30pm. This hence prevents them from participating in most of the college activities past curfew, which is technically most of everything.

How come men's hostel has no curfew and women had to get inside the four walls like a sacred cat as soon or before it gets dark? Make a change, let them be free. At the least let them enjoy the little things in life.
